I have just downloaded Fedora Core 3.talk about a pain I had to download it four times before I had good ISOs. Well anyway I got it installed. I have everything working on it. But I can find my windows partisan? First I was thinking that it was /dev/hdd but that was one of my CD-ROM drives then I was trying to use /dev/hdc that was my burner. LOL I'm so lost.. Does any one know where I could find my Windows Partisan??

Thanks

Your Windows what?

Partisan, as in group of one's affiliates, such as a Windows discussion forum? Or did you mean partition? As in a segment of your hard drive space allocated to a differing task?

Are you trying to dual-boot? I guess I am not really sure what it is you are attempting.

Could you be more specific?

Cheers.

Do you have two harddrives oor only one?

If you have only one harddrive and you installed FC after you installed Windows then you might try /dev/hda1

Here the hda means the first harddrive, and the 1 means the first partition.

I should have looked at your sig. Mine is hdb because it's my second drive, if you just have the 120gig drive it'll be on hda.

The easy way to fine it would be to go to the applications menu/system tools/hardware browser. This will do a hardware search and under the hard drive option it'll list your physical drives and thier partitions.
