Hey I have a potential client that wants a site built. She wants a blog added to it once she starts getting business and also a CMS setup so she can change the menu from time to time and also add new events. Is there an easier way to do the two of these? Or are there combinations of programs that will work better together than others? Any help on this will be appreciated.

Thanks!

A common CMS such as Jooma would be able to do both of those things.

Okay, you have to excuse my ignorance, but won't I have to build the entire site on a Jooma platform? The site is going to be somewhat simple with a few little Flash movies. Thank you again.

Hey Zaiah You should be able to install most blog type cms systems into their own directory and the specify where the base of that site is... IE mysite.com/blog could contain all the cms code and the site root can be static if you so desire. I know both wordpress and joomla give you this option at the time of install. However, the obvious down side is that you can't easily update the site root but that may not be a huge deal to you and you wouldn't have to figure out how to get the entire site to run correctly inside the cms.
If at first you don't succeed F1... If that doesn't work try Google!
