using flash to create gifs is a bad idea. it has no idea how to handle it
IMO. Image Ready is the best. Why not just make it a flash banner?

Your DPI Question answered:

The DPI of a monitor is 72, so anything above that won't have a higher quality.

your banner in flash is the same as any other animation. And if you
don't know how to embed a flash movie, then you really should learn a
bit more about flash first.

not sure, but i know the tag is usually
Code: [ Select ]
[swf]http://www.domain.com/some.swf[/swf]

not sure if bigweb has it on or not,

this is NOTHING like a real tag for html though. I stand by my last
statements IMadmin. You should learn flash a bit more first.

This is the whole shebang when injecting a flash image into a site...

This is purely as an example...

I get great results for animated gifs in After Effects. They aren't pretty but as pretty as a gif can be.
