Hi!!
I have to develop an application with mysql and php.
I haven't got a lot of experience, and my first step it's to decide wich web server to use. I should install the application in win 2k and in linux.
What should I use as a web server?
Tomcat or Apache? Actually we have some applications in tomcat but with apache first (tomcat works in port 80 behind apache).
Regards

hi!

Tomcat is a version os apache but tomcat you can make JSP, Apache is a webserver but you must install the modules that you need, to work with perl, php or the language that you need, check what modules can work with apache. If you don't going to use JSP for you pages, i'll recomend you Apache alone and then install the php module :)
