I have figured out how to open a new window of a specific size and make it look like I want it.

Problem is, it works FINE in Firefox, but in IE7 the window opens full screen. UGH!

Also note I used both innerwidth and width (and innerheight and height) to test it out. Both opened full screen in IE7 (but Firefox kept the w600/h700)

Here is the script:

Code: [ Select ]
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
<!--
function new_win()
{window.open("http://clientdirect.net/news/est_payments.htm","mywin","innerwidth=600,innerheight=700,left=5,top=5,resizable=1,scrollbars=1,status=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no");}

//-->
</SCRIPT>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<FORM name="CALCULATORS">
<INPUT TYPE="image" SRC="http://www.geocities.com/gpnyc/CalcBox.gif" onClick="new_win()">
</FORM>
</BODY>
</HTML>
  1. <HTML>
  2. <HEAD>
  3. <SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
  4. <!--
  5. function new_win()
  6. {window.open("http://clientdirect.net/news/est_payments.htm","mywin","innerwidth=600,innerheight=700,left=5,top=5,resizable=1,scrollbars=1,status=no,toolbar=no,menubar=no");}
  7. //-->
  8. </SCRIPT>
  9. </HEAD>
  10. <BODY>
  11. <FORM name="CALCULATORS">
  12. <INPUT TYPE="image" SRC="http://www.geocities.com/gpnyc/CalcBox.gif" onClick="new_win()">
  13. </FORM>
  14. </BODY>
  15. </HTML>

Thanx in advance

No one can help out here?

I have tried the page on a few other 'puters in the office. Only IE7 opens the window at maximum.
Any one?

I only had a chance to glance at it this morning but my thought is that IE isn't liking innerwidth=600,innerheight=700 don't think it knows what to do with that. try using something else besides innerwidth and innerheight
