Background Image CSS

I was wondering how you would change the size of an image used as a background? Thanks for your help.

as far as i'm aware, it's going to show up as whatever size the raw image is. so you can change it in any image editing program (photoshop, etc.)

roarmeow is right, for now. Keep an eye on background-size, part of the CSS3 spec. Unfortunately, it's not exactly supported well yet.

well thats just weird. Good thing i know how to use photoshop or i would be really out of luck. Where would i track that back-image thingy for CSS3?

I don't know whether the CSS3 spec is finalised or if it's still in draft form. I guess eventually browsers will increase their support for it, and URLs like the one I posted, that track compatibility, will be updated.
