Best designs for Social Networking Websites

What are your opinions?
I'm thinking of building a Social Networking site using ruby on rails language.

Why would you choose ruby?

That and isn't FaceBook and MySpace enough? I know another site that is being created that would be a Social Networking site and now you... or am I misunderstanding on what Social Networking site is...

No bogey, you got it ... and there are also other ones like BlueWorld and Bebo ... but there are also many more ...

Anyway, back to the question at hand. If I had done it I would've done it in php ... for me, it's just the easiest, but then again, I don't know ROR at all ...

My opinion: you're trying to enter a very saturated market with very limited knowledge of that market with a very mediocre language.

Unless you figure out something totally innovative to go along with it

i think you guys a bursting eradinn's bubbles! i dont think there can be enuff of these site. if doe'snt do it someone else will do it. but ruby on rails is not a popular language but you know it then use it.
