I have two sites that really aren't of much value to me anymore and I don't want to pay hosting on them. I can either put them on my current server and incur no additional cost or simply redirect them from godaddy to my primary site.

So, my question is two-fold. Which would be the best? And, if I do redirect it, what would be the best way and would it suffer any penalty from google?

Thank you in advance.

I have two questions. If the sites are of no use to you anymore, why do you care if you lose page rank from Google? If you redirect them, don't you still have to pay for hosting?

You could redirect them, stop paying and let them close the site, which is what I would do.

Search Google for either
redirect IIS
redirect apache
whichever you are running.

If a lot of people still go to the URL of you old sites - then yes redirect time.
But if there not (which is most likely the case as you would keep them if they were doing well) just have it closed down like don2007 said.
