http://www.browsercam.com/

lets you see your site in all manner of browsers and platforms. I'm interested purely because a lot of tutorials say stuff about IE on mac doing weird things. However much I would like a mac I cannot really afford it....

Then again browser cam isn't cheap. Has anyone had any dealings with this service?

No, but I was actually looking at it last week and used the free trial for a day. Pretty interesting, but most of my websites came through decently, so I just left and went back to work. LOL.

Yeah I was thinking that if you have got problems, sorting a workaround might take longer than an hour, and it's not cheap for the month. Maybe we could get some people together and get an ozzu account with loadsa usernames

I'll be leaving it for the timebeing, I can test all the browsers on windows and linux, so it's just those pesky mac users (and even then some of them will be using gecko browsers).

lol @ rtm! I can't believe YOU would want a Powerbook.

I'm lucky, I've got a guy at my office who uses a mac. He keeps a varitey of mac browsers, so I get to do pretty thorough testings.

It's just that you seem so "open-source", and apart from adopting the Linux kernel, Macs seem so "closed-source". I'm just surprised, really.

:)

Awwww shucks!!! I forgot my PayPal password...

I'm not against closed source. I'm just not keen on microsoft products  I find windows buggy (all versions I have tried) and a pain in the ass, Visual BASIC and homepage are a bloody joke, and office is just the same as any other office software (except that it incorporates VBA - which is even worse than normal VB).

I have never used a single microsoft app that made me think "wow this is a really good piece of software". most of the pieces of software that have stuck me as being really good originate from mac or FOSS.

I think that open source is a good idea, simply for the fact that most open source software has to "prove itself" before it gets accepted. Microsoft sell because of a brand name.

Well, as soon as you remember it, I don't mind waiting a week or two

lol @ rtm on the scroung!

BTW if you send a lot of money via the internet i would highly recomend nochex, i got an account with them and on my site people can pay me with nochex and they dont have to be registered which has saved me a lot of hassle, they are also in the uk which mean it takes less to get the money in your bank.

Anyway enough of me babbleing on! Lol
