Changing webpage dimensions

I created a web design i want to use for my website but when i try using it, the window itself appears to be wider than the image. Is there any way i can change this so that the width of my website is the width of the image (1080px)?

Can you show us an example of what you mean? You could always center the image as a background and do a fixed-width design, but you can't control what resolutions your visitors will be using.
I'd love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.
