I would like a new color combo for my website, other than the one I have. I have a black background with blue and gold text. I was wondering if anyone knew of a better combination using specifically blue and gold. The site just looks kinda cheesy

why even ask this question? it's your site isn't? so browse around and
find some sites you like to emulate, NOT COPY.

all I'm asking for is color schemes, I don't want to copy sites. And it's hard to emulate something that no one uses, because blue and gold is a sucky scheme! :iconpukel:

no, its just the way the cards were dealt. Next time I help decide a new schools colors, I'll make sure they work well on a website.

Sorry it took me so long to get around to this. This is a most excellent resource. It's a little hard to figure out at first, but the chart displays the 216 color-safe palette. After you've clicked several colors you'll start to see in the frame how they mix with each other. Once you get used to this one, start by clicking the colors you think you want for combinations and go from there.

Enjoy:

These colors should work in any browser exactly as you see them here.
