CSS & autoresponders

I have an auto responder on one of the email addresses in my domain and I have tried both with external CSS and CSS in the page. Neither show up if it goe to my hotmail account, but it's fine in Outlook. Am I just dead in the water on this one? The address that I am trying to get working is retailerinfo@jeremy-lang.com
