Is there anyway that i can disable the IE image bar that comes up when you put your mouse over a image? Its gives you the option to save, print, send and open picture folder.

I find that it is annoying and have noticed that some sites have disabled this.

Thanks

Tony

A way of doing this (a particularly crap way I might add) is to replace:

Code: [ Select ]
<img src="blah.jpg" alt="some alt text" />

Code: [ Select ]
<div style="background-image:url(blah.jpg);width:[imgwidth]px; height:[imghight]px;"></div>

you have to specify the with and height of the image in the css else you get cropping. You also can't make the image into a link easily (shut up richard yes you can. use a span instead of a div).

Like I said it's a pretty cheap hack but it worked for me in a dhtml slideshow script, here I already had a div with bg image....

best bet is to wait for someone with a better answer. Or go to those sites and see what they have done :)

yeah your right that is the kinda hard way. lol :D

I just used my brain for once and thought why did i bother posting when i could just do a search on google,

anyway i did and this is what a site says to do -

Quote:
1) Insert the following META tag into the <head> section of your page. Doing so will disable the toolbar for all images on the page:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="imagetoolbar" CONTENT="no">

2) OR, inside the particular image(s) in question, add the one attribute as shown. This affects only the containing image:

<img src="test.gif" GALLERYIMG="no">

Thanks for attempting to help tho rtm :wink: lol
