Right, heres what im trying to do. I'm tryig to create an ajax siggestion box that filss when the user is typing, like google suggest. I've doen this part. I've now added a background image to the div so that when the ajax script is loading an animation is displayed behind the suggestions.

My problem is that when the suggestion box overflows and uses a scroll bar in IE the background image stays in the middle of the whole box and so cannot be seen unless you scroll down, however in firefox it stays in the middle of the part of the div that can be seen. How can i get this behaviour in IE? Here are some images

Can anyone help me do this?

Mind posting some code? It sounds like you would just need to change the position of the background image so it starts at the top of the div, but I might be misunderstanding...
