Dreamweaver shift+enter <br> tag

I just did a search on google and couldn't find anything relevant, so I'm posting here in hopes that someone knows.

In Dreamweaver, when I hit "shift+enter" on my keyboard while in code view, Dreamweaver inserts a <br> tag. It's seriously annoying, and I generally end a line with the ">" character. I end up hitting enter while my hand is still on the shift key, and dreamweaver puts in a br tag. Been dealing with it for years...and I'm finally sick enough of it to figure out how to turn it off. Any ideas?

Have you tried this:

1. Open Configuration/Objects/insertbar.xml
2. search for the line "<button id="DW_Chars_BR" image="Characters\Line
Break.gif" MMString:name="insertbar/linebreak" file="Characters\Line Break.htm"
/>"
3. Either comment it out (<!-- line -->) or just delete it
4. Restart dreamweaver.
