Email the contents of a form

hello guyz..i've just read about the other post about the email thingy..it helps me to understand things more better..just another question to ask....how is it then to have a mail form that have the senders name and particulars? hope this will give you a clearer picture..and also no matter who they send it to..only 1 acc will receive it.

Depends on which cgi or php script you are using.

check my form:

http://www.vsssleep.com/form

and the cgi script is at

http://www.vsssleep.com/cgi-bin/info.cgi

Make the changes that apply to you in the script and the form and you should be good to go. Good luck :wink:

hmm..cant get to the links you gave me...is it possible to have the form mail code entirely in html?

No it's not possible. The Form script in the HTML calls the CGI script to process the form and send the details to the SMTP server.

Check out Matt's Formmail if you need a customizable formmail script that's easy to use if you follow the instructions:

http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html

Your server needs to support PERL if you want to use this script.
