expanding divs or layers

making divs expand and move the footer layer below I have site im making and running into a problem I made a template with header body and footer. in the body is an editable region but anytime I include a file in the body layer the footer layer doesn't size with it I also have 3 columns in the body...

and if you add a 'container' div around everything?

Is the footer supposed to scale, or do you just want it to ride below the content of all three columns?

If its just a footer that needs to move down use this model.

ok i did this didnt work for me im new in the world of css div... im importing a slices from photoshop which somewhat puts it in divs to dreamweaver...

Put the following attribute to the footer... that is... if I understand it correctly than it should work
