ok here is the first one
I have a form
<TD WIDTH=172 HEIGHT=94 COLSPAN=4 ROWSPAN=2 align="center" background="images/index2_20.gif"><form action="mailto:alfa_cool@hotmail.com" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" name="nieuwsbrief" target="_self" id="nieuwsbrief">
<table width="84%" border="0">
<td align="center"><input name="email" type="text" id="email" value="E-mail adres"></td>
<td align="right"><input type="submit" name="Submit" value="inschrijven"></td>

but When I click on the button to send me the information he had filled in. Oultook starts. I don't wanna have that. I want that the site sends me the info to my mailbox so I can add his email to my mailing list.

the second problem is.
how can I (in notepad or dreamweaver)
make buttons that are linked to a _blank page
I want the blankpage without toolbars and in 500*600.
Do I have to fix this in my index.html file of in my html page that is linked to?

You shouldn't be using mailto-scheme forms anyway.

Erm, Your coding looks wrong from my end. mailto will auntomatically open outlook..

Your code should look more like this

<h3> Your Form Name Here<h3>
<form method="POST" action="http://www.response-o-matic.com/cgi-bin/rom.pl">
<input type="hidden" name="your_email_address" value="Put Your Email Address Here">
<p>Please tell me your name: <input type="text" name="visitor_name" size="30" maxlength="30">
(Do not hit return, this will send the form)</p>
<p>Please enter your email address: <input type="text" name="visitor_email_address" size="30"
<dt>Please provide your comments about my website.</dt>
<textarea name="Comments" rows="10" cols="50"></textarea>
<p> <input type="submit" value=" Send "> <input type="reset" value=" Clear "></p>
<input type="hidden" name="email_subject_line" value="Email From Website">
<input type="hidden" name="return_link_url" value="Put your reurn link here">
<input type="hidden" name="return_link_name" value="Return Link Name">
<input type="hidden" name="background_color" value="back ground color here">

Of course you have to add more fields, but that is what a form basically is.

or you can try a php mail from as you see down:
Code: [ Select ]
/* recipients */
$to = "mary@example.com" . ", " ; // note the comma
$to .= "kelly@example.com";

/* subject */
$subject = "Birthday Reminders for August";

/* message */
$message = '
<title>Birthday Reminders for August</title>
<p>Here are the birthdays upcoming in August!</p>

/* To send HTML mail, you can set the Content-type header. */
$headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";

/* additional headers */
$headers .= "To: Mary <mary@example.com>, Kelly <kelly@example.com>\r\n";
$headers .= "From: Birthday Reminder <birthday@example.com>\r\n";
$headers .= "Cc: birthdayarchive@example.com\r\n";
$headers .= "Bcc: birthdaycheck@example.com\r\n";

/* and now mail it */
mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);
  1. <?php
  2. /* recipients */
  3. $to = "mary@example.com" . ", " ; // note the comma
  4. $to .= "kelly@example.com";
  5. /* subject */
  6. $subject = "Birthday Reminders for August";
  7. /* message */
  8. $message = '
  9. <html>
  10. <head>
  11. <title>Birthday Reminders for August</title>
  12. </head>
  13. <body>
  14. <p>Here are the birthdays upcoming in August!</p>
  15. <table>
  16. <tr>
  17.  <th>Person</th><th>Day</th><th>Month</th><th>Year</th>
  18. </tr>
  19. <tr>
  20.  <td>Joe</td><td>3rd</td><td>August</td><td>1970</td>
  21. </tr>
  22. <tr>
  23.  <td>Sally</td><td>17th</td><td>August</td><td>1973</td>
  24. </tr>
  25. </table>
  26. </body>
  27. </html>
  28. ';
  29. /* To send HTML mail, you can set the Content-type header. */
  30. $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";
  31. $headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";
  32. /* additional headers */
  33. $headers .= "To: Mary <mary@example.com>, Kelly <kelly@example.com>\r\n";
  34. $headers .= "From: Birthday Reminder <birthday@example.com>\r\n";
  35. $headers .= "Cc: birthdayarchive@example.com\r\n";
  36. $headers .= "Bcc: birthdaycheck@example.com\r\n";
  37. /* and now mail it */
  38. mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);
  39. ?>

It is more easy to use and you can custoize it how you need.
