I am going to have to design a cut down version of a website I am building for my employers in chinese.
there is a chinese girl working in the office so she can do translations.
however she is going home soon, she will still be translating the site remotely but I am just wondering what sort of issues I might encounter with font compatability transmitting data etc, and ways around them.

As long as you have Chinese language support installed there will be no problems. You can download foreign character support from the MS website, or with Linux it'll be on your install disk.
