I created a php form mail for someone and it works fine to send the form to their email; however, they are asking if I can format the way the email comes differently. Right now it comes and looks like such

name: name of customer
phone: 123-4567

they would like the questions to come in bold

name: name of customer
phone: 123-4567

I am not sure what I can do in order to bold the questions of the form in the email.

In the sendmail.php file that I am using I used $POST to get the info for each field - $name = check_input($_POST['name'], "Name(First & Last)");

and used the following to send the email

mail( $myemail, "New Customer Form",
"Name: $name\n\nHome Number: $homenumber\n\nCell Number: $cellnumber\n\nWork etc...

I really appreciate any help on this matter

Is this works
Code: [ Select ]
mail( $myemail, "New Custome Form",
"<b>Name:</b> $name\n\n<b>Home Number:</b> $homenumber\n\nCell Number: $cellnumber\n\nWork")
  1. mail( $myemail, "New Custome Form",
  2. "<b>Name:</b> $name\n\n<b>Home Number:</b> $homenumber\n\nCell Number: $cellnumber\n\nWork")

Thanks Satwant for the suggestion...I tried that before though and instead of making it bold it just outputs the following to the email.

<b>Name:</b>

I personaly nerver try HTML Email, But i google something in Which i found this

To use bold face in plain text email messages:

* Use asterisks at the beginning and at the end of *the passage you want to put in bold face*.

To mimic underlining in plain text email:

* Use underscore characters at the beginning and end of the _underlined passage_.

To use italics in plain text email messages:

* Put a slash character before and after the /italicized passage/.

Give a try may be this solve your problem
