This has been discussed on several occasions. Do an OZZU search for "forum scripts" and check the "search for all terms" radio button.

In fact I just noticed June asked almost the identical question just a few days ago:

Out of the two, I would go with invision. The 2.0 release that is coming out looks very imressive.

However, nothing compares to vbb :)

I think you missed my point The Apostle of God. I was making an attempt to educate members and guests who happen to read this without actually locking the topic. There have been multiple opinions on forum boards already expressed at OZZU. Not trying to be a hard-nose about it, but all it takes is a little looking on this one.

*smiles -- it's still open isn't it? I would, however, suggest that you look back through some of the older threads. You'll probably see some things that will help you decide.

I prefer IPB, it has better search functions compared to phpbb.

I used to use IPB for everything, it is VERY lite on the server. But I don't anymore. IPB used to be free, but now you've got to pay almost as much as vb for it.

I now use phpBB but I change a few things before I upload the board.

I have a question for you guys: Why use VBulletin?

well i haven't had any experience with invision, but I like phpBB a whole hell of a lot. I like it because you can pretty much make it look like anything you want, and there are a lot of mods out there for it too
