Flash is embedded client-side so there is nothing they can do (unless they go through some drastic measures) to stop you.

No host disables the ability to use Flash on your site.

As b_heyer stated, if they do, they must of went through some incredibly drastic measures to do so and are probably too strict of a host to even bother with.

Also as b_heyer stated, Flash is client side, so as long as the viewer has the plugin installed they can see it, the server has to do nothing but contain the .swf file needed to be seen.

http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/ supports PHP and gives you 1 mySQL databse ;)

But most free hosts don't do that, for a couple of reasons, but you'd have to ask them to find out why

I've always wondered that, is it because the extra use the servers get, since normally they don't allow any server side scripting?

Most likely the reason is because.... why give away so much power for free. Even pay hosts sometimes charge extra for PHP or a mySQL database, which I think it stupid since PHP and mySQL are both free, the only thing the host has to do is have it installed on the server

Also since free hosts use shared servers, so if you have a whole bunch of sites using PHP the server load might go up.
