Does anyone know of any good WYSIWYG HTML editors that allow you to upload your webpages via SSH? PHP editing would be nice as well, without having to put it in via a text editor

I can't think of any free ones. I think what you may have to do is get a separate program to upload using SFTP and then use that along with your WYSIWYG editor.

That's what I was thinking, because I've used kompozer a little bit before I started using my friend's server to host my site and I think it only supports FTP, but my friend hates FTP

Does your friend avoid FTP because of its limited security? I would figure that if you he hates regular FTP then he wouldn't want to use SFTP either.
