Good Tricks or Effects

Guys,

I'm looking for some good CSS or javascript tricks/effects for web sites. I'm researching this atm so if you know of any sites that have something interesting or a feature that makes them stand out can you post a link or if you dont remember the link then just post what it did. They can be something simple but effective, I'm interested in all.

currently I've found:
- 3D spin menu (great for saving real estate)
- some sliding menus

I seem to remember this being one of my first attempts at positioning and DHTML

Both are modified versions of other's scripts. If I recall the author credits should be in the source code.
