Are you receiving any sort of error message when you upload it? Are you sure it is actually uploading? Are you uploading it into the correct directory? Do you have common file extensions hidden on your local computer? Only reason I ask is if you do it is possible your file is .htaccess.txt instead of .htaccess.

There are way too many causes to what might be going on, so I am just guessing here.

Well i personally did not resolve it, my wordpress developer sorted it for me.

first check the the wp dasboard setting
under setting>general

check the WordPress Address (URL) put slash at the end same with Site Address (URL) put slash the end.

then check

go to setting>permalink

here is the tricky part for permalink check first your post, if it is default or some of the common setting there. in your case your setting is post name since you uploaded the mysql the the wp back to it default setting but actual in your wp dashboard still in post-name so what you gonna do is just click update and thats all
so basically its just simple.

Overview is really run over settings again, check address and update link settings.
