I have been making a page in Dreamweaver the last couple of days, and i have gotten it how i wanted it. However when i uploaded it and viewed it, it looked completely different! Why is this, and what can i do to get it looking the same?

You can find the uploaded version here> http://www.hayesmates.co.uk/index2.php

Im using Firefox as the default browser, in a 1024x768 monitor view.

Thanks :arrow:

hmmmm.....I'm looking at this page thru both IE and Firefox. What I see in IE, is the center left table has a brown gradient in it, In firefox it isn't there. Is that what you are referring to?

I saved your page and opened it in dreamweaver, I'm afraid I still don't see the problem. Growing online? If you mean it appears bigger when viewd thru a webpage than it does in the dreamweaver edit window. That is to be expected. Dreamweave will scale the page down to fit into the edit window. I don't know lol maybe I'm missing something but it looks fine to me.

Alright I fixed it! LOL took me a minute to find it

Open the page in dreamweaver,

Then click on the "navigation" image

when you look at the source code, locate the <td> that holds the image it looks like this:

Code: [ Select ]
<td style="background-color: rgb(153, 153, 153);" align="top" height="345" width="88">

The edit is simple. Change
Code: [ Select ]
align="top"

into:
Code: [ Select ]
valign="top"

For the affiliates image change

Code: [ Select ]
align="left"
to
Code: [ Select ]
valign="top"

There you go! Good luck!

Ok thanks that sorted out that problem, now do you have any idea why additional space is showing in certain places, and in some it isnt?

If you compare it with this > http://www.hayesmates.co.uk/index2.php
