You can't.

MIDI is a format for describing note data, not for storing compressed audio.
It just tells your soundcard what notes to play with which virtual instruments.

You could try searching for an existing midi version of the track, or interpret it yourself with a keyboard and a software sequencer.

Or you could just embed the song in a compressed format (WMA, mp3, flash...)

But please don't. Spare us!

is that your signature or are you like me and hate mids made to sound like another song? they are ok if they are unique for a specific game.

and to answer your question again, you cannot do that, the formats are completely different

As both a musician and a web user, embedded MIDI is a disgrace to humanity and must be stamped out.

I don't hate midis. I like the different variations on songs.

I can see how people might hate embedded midis in web sites. But you can embed midis in web sites.

I've done it on non-professional sites (but wouldn't recommend it on professional sites unless you're giving demos of music or something).

Here's the code for embedding midis/music. It works in Firefox/Mozilla and IE.

<embed src="nameofsong.mid" autostart="true" hidden="true" loop="true">
</embed>

another method to do this is you use Flash object, convert the WMA to mp3 , and insert it into website as a Flash. Of course, to do this you need the Macromedia Flash software.

MIDI is a useful format because it easily allows you to edit notes and work on scores. MIDI also takes up much less room on websites than other music formats.

You can convert wma to mid using IntelliScore software. The download site is intelliscore net
