Post 3+ Months Ago

Like my name states i'm a Rookie with no experience in this field.
In about one month i will be organising an event which will last for one week. For this event i would like to create a page/forum in which i as the admin can post little media releases with photo's on which the athletes can comment. Also they should be able to post their own comments and topics. The page will be up for no longer than a month.
My question is what program i could best use for this that is:
- easy to use
- free
- compatible to what i would like to use it for

Thanks for the help

You could do a wordpress blog, then if people wanted to post comments they wouldn't need to create an account for only a few words. And if they wanted to post pictures and stuff then they could do pictures. Not exactly a forum, not even close actually, but it might do what you want anyway. I've never used phpBB, but I have set up wordpress. It's really easy.

In my opinion it would be the best to use a pre-setup forum which you can just edit ... For that you can use http://www.editboard.com ... The only setback about this is thatthere will be 3 text ads at the top of each page ...
