This is a brilliant article that i have found relating to a question i had wanted answering to. How much would a website cost?

Article
How much does a web site cost?
Well that is one loaded question. And we get it all the time,of course. My typical answer is “If your web site were a car, what kind of car would you want it to be?” They think, “well it would be a Porsche!” As they realize what a Porsche costs, I then usually get this reply. “Ok how much does a simple site cost.” I say “how much does a simple car cost”? I usually do not let it go any further because it is pointless. Sure, Eclipse will offer “web site packages” at certain prices just for those individuals who absolutely need to have some kind of price in mind.

Awesome article! I'm going to use that next time the question is brought up. It's a difficult question to answer every time, but this analogy will be helpful. Thank you.

Great analogy, I've been looking for a simple, but accurate way to explain what it cost for a website. Very time consuming having to explain what all goes into building a site with every potential client.

Nem - it's perfectily ok to bring articles here, you just can't post the entire thing
without permission. Linking to the author does not relieve ozzu of copyright laws.
I editted your post to an acceptable amount, and linked again to the original
ariticle. Thanks for your understanding.
