Hi everyone,

I've been working on a tool for web designers to aid in generating grid based layouts. Even though the functionality is somewhat limited, I have launched a functional prototype.

pageblox dot com

I understand that many designers/developers like to code their pages from scratch, however I've learned the hard way after many years of experience that this isn't always the best idea. "Reinventing the wheel" can often be a painful process as the cross-browser quirks can become very frustrating.

Basically, PageBlox is a front-end UI to create custom Blueprint CSS layouts - I'm a huge fan of Blueprint CSS because it is constantly updated/refined and it allows you to create a truly rock-solid foundation for your sites.

Other tools like this already exist but I think I can make something that is even more intuitive and fun to use.

What do you think? Is this useful? Has anyone used similar tools?

Thanks,
Chris

Is it the same as the one in W3C school where you can test the code first.

Far from being a useful tool in my opinion. However that could change I guess.

Good luck with it
