hey, i have a small problem with my html dropdown menu. the problem is the bg color changed suddenly from white to light-yellow. i used exactly the same code as for the other pages where the bg still is white. i even compared them and they are 100% identical. so how can the other one be light-yellow?

here is my code:

Code: [ Select ]
<form ACTION="URI"><td class="tabletitle" width="162"><p align="right"><select name=selection class="selection"
onchange="location.href=(form.selection.options[form.selection.selectedIndex].value)">

<option class="under" selected value="#nogo">In this section:</option>
<option class="under" value="#nogo"> </option>

<option class="under" value="http://www.example.com/index1">Index 1/option>
<option class="under" value="http://www.example.com/index1">Index 2</option>

</select></td></form>
  1. <form ACTION="URI"><td class="tabletitle" width="162"><p align="right"><select name=selection class="selection"
  2. onchange="location.href=(form.selection.options[form.selection.selectedIndex].value)">
  3. <option class="under" selected value="#nogo">In this section:</option>
  4. <option class="under" value="#nogo"> </option>
  5. <option class="under" value="http://www.example.com/index1">Index 1/option>
  6. <option class="under" value="http://www.example.com/index1">Index 2</option>
  7. </select></td></form>

and here my css:

Code: [ Select ]
option.main {
    font-family: Arial;
    font-size: 12px;
    background-color: #4d4d4d;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: ffffff;}

option.under {
    font-family: Arial;
    font-size: 12px;
    background-color: #ffffff;
    font-weight: normal;
    color: 000000;}

option.main2 {
    font-family: Arial;
    font-size: 12px;
    background-color: #D34A0E;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: ffffff;}

select.selection {
   border: 1px solid #4d4d4d;
   background-color: #ffffff;
}
  1. option.main {
  2.     font-family: Arial;
  3.     font-size: 12px;
  4.     background-color: #4d4d4d;
  5.     font-weight: bold;
  6.     color: ffffff;}
  7. option.under {
  8.     font-family: Arial;
  9.     font-size: 12px;
  10.     background-color: #ffffff;
  11.     font-weight: normal;
  12.     color: 000000;}
  13. option.main2 {
  14.     font-family: Arial;
  15.     font-size: 12px;
  16.     background-color: #D34A0E;
  17.     font-weight: bold;
  18.     color: ffffff;}
  19. select.selection {
  20.    border: 1px solid #4d4d4d;
  21.    background-color: #ffffff;
  22. }

does anyone know why?
thanks :)

Could it be some sort of "auto complete" function in the browser?

btw: Did you forget to close your P?

Browsers have a function to fill in forms auto-magically. Sometimes, browsers will fill in the background of a form element when thinks it knows what you're going to put there.

Have you tried the page in different browsers and on different machines?
