I have a table with images in one row and then a background image in the next row. I want to make it so there is no space between the images on top and the background image below them, but can't seem to figure out how. Any suggestions would be awesome.

here's basically the code:
Code: [ Select ]
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr><td>
<a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
<a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
<a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
<a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
<a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
</td></tr>
<tr><td background="backgroundimage">
</td></tr>
</table>
  1. <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
  2. <tr><td>
  3. <a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
  4. <a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
  5. <a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
  6. <a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
  7. <a HREF="link"><img src="image" border="0"></a>
  8. </td></tr>
  9. <tr><td background="backgroundimage">
  10. </td></tr>
  11. </table>

you might try restructuring your html to look like this:
Code: [ Select ]
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
    <td><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a></td>
</tr>
<tr>
    <td background="image"></td>
</tr>
</table>
  1. <table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
  2. <tr>
  3.     <td><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a><a HREF="link"><img></a></td>
  4. </tr>
  5. <tr>
  6.     <td background="image"></td>
  7. </tr>
  8. </table>

I made the first row's contents (the linked images) a single line with no spaces.

It's also a good practice to close TD's at the end of their content, without breaking to a new line.
