Images not aligning correctly with JS scroller

In IE, the whole thing should look fine, but that's because IE is completely borked.

However, in Firefox, there are white bars below the x's intruding upon the top border image, and the left border image is too far over.

I've racked my brain trying to figure this one out. I've looked at the CSS, went through the whole HTML file, commented it out so I knew where everything was...I'm lost. Can anyone please help me fix this?
