Keybord shortcuts on a website

HI I was looking on wikipedia and noticed that they have a shortcut options for the website see what I mean have a look at the edit page and logo and you will see wikipedia.org How is this done because it would be nice to do it on you site it that said I have not seen it any ware else so maybe its hard to do?

i think you are talking about accesskey? If that's so then it's easy. Just put this code

that accesskey is responsible for shortcuts

so I would just hit the number 2 and go to (in you example) some_links?

it happens with mobile devices,pda etc. but dont know about keyboards.

it's better to check up with w3c.

Got it working but in crome you press alt+1 and in IE you press alt+1+ENTER why o why can it never be easy?! :roll:
