lists and line wrap

I've got a series of ordered lists. In most of them the text in each list item fits on one line. However, a bunch of 'em require two lines. For the list items that need two lines, the text has an ugly way of wrapping like I've tried to illustrate in the made up example below, see item 3:




It'd be nicer if I could get it to look this:




I'm fairly sure I've done something like this before, but I've forgotten how.

I think it's list-style-position:outside; off the top of my head.
