Looks like Major League Baseball will be using the Adobe Flash Player instead of Microsofts Silverlight to stream games to their half-million subscribers this season.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Netflix follows suit.

I think they were before last season. Microsoft probably made them an offer they couldn't refuse in anticipation of getting the MLB hooked in or at least getting others to jump on board when they saw MLB do it.

Big setback for Microsoft if you ask me.
Maybe they should quit dicking around doing a half-assed job in everything and focus on making their operating system work.
Maybe the economy will force them to do so.

I don't recall seeing much difference between last years and the year before. And I do watch an odds and ends game or two at work. Never noticed it wasn't flash. Actually other than the Microsoft sites I can't say that I've come across any site that was using silverlight predominantly

//and as of this post I see FF hasn't included Silverlight in their spell check yet either lol

Speaking of Silverlight it doesn't seem to be supported on Win2K SP4 IE6

I've never been able to install it on any Win2K machine.
