hi all.
i have a weird problem you may be able to help me with.
running xp sp1
i have made a website which i have uploaded. all went well untill i went to update it the other day. what happened then was weird.
ok i put a couple of new links on the main page with dreamweaver, previewed it and all was fine. i uploaded it with cuteftp and opened the main page of the site - the links were gone -completely, now thats the weird part, i cant see the links, but everyone else who views my site can!
i checked the source code of the page and have found that the links are completely missing, but this is only on my machine, no one elses.i reset all to default in internet explorer, but that didnt help.
has anyone heard of a problem like this, or knows a fix for it?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanx

yes, i understand that, but if i open dreamweaver now, put a new picture in the main page, then upload it, i can see the new picture straight away, if i put a link in however, i cannot see it at all, in fact it doesnt even appear in the source code. if i preview the page in dreamweaver, it works with no problem.
it seems that viewing the page online gives the problems, not offline. so it doesnt look like its explorer that has the problem.
this is why this problem is so strange.

cheers

well on the main page, there is some text at the top going on about the weather the other night. i should be this:

view from our balcony last night - (17.7.2004 - 22:00) this storm lasted hours.here

the "here " word at the end is a link, but it does not appear at all.
BTW i just tried in firefox but got the same results...

if i open the page on my laptop, i can see the link no problem, so i guess others can see it too.

I can see link "here" clearly. Still a mistery, why you can't see, the html code is seems okay. I guess we both must learn harder...
Let me know if your problem solved...
