Yes, empty space would be fine - it's not really empty, you have the enclosing div colour, so you know it's the tab.

Nothing I can think of in terms of design. Just a minor usability issue: the default link colour makes me think I've already visited it.

Perfect! I just love plain blue for links.

Are the hover colors ok?

Yes. Hover is just an added effect, so it can be anything as long as it's readable.

Alright I'm in the process of converting my old template to this one... it may take awhile as I took the liberty than to develop on that template before review... man, I learned my lesson

Oh well, this one comes with a more usable registration form and some other features that wouldn't have being here if I didn't do it this way

Bogey, I think it's what pretty much what Spoof has said. It wasn't hackable I think, that was just a default page showing Error by your host.

why don't you change the username check to [a-zA-Z0-9] ... ? and allow for capitals aswell?
