im using firefox, theres no orange box anywhere. the trafic image doesn't load though, its just the alt.

Step one towards solving your problem is validating your HTML, ignoring errors caused by <embed>'s existence. The most amusing error (amusing to my sick, twisted sense of humor anyway) is the way XHTML and HTML syntax is mixed. They refuse to mix, though.

You might also want to be aware that if the user's minimum font size is set to something readable, your layout breaks down.

As for the problem about which you asked, I am stumped. You might want to use border:0; instead of all those four border properties -- at least it's simpler. It might work, too -- maybe Gecko has a bug.

What version of FireFox are you two using?
I see the border on Mozilla 1.7.3, Win XP.
