Well carrie, about once a month ozzu hosts a series of competitions, these competitions are usually just for fun, and if you click on the link that Sb posted you'll be able to see more details about the competition.

how many people actually compete for comp's like this in the past?
a prize would be great and more ppl would compete

Quite a few compete. gallery/ I don't think any of us are interested in a prize, really. It's just fun.

Every once in a while there is a competition that has a price attached to it, but not to often. Its just a fun way to practice and share with others.

I wouldn't say that for sure, the participation trippled from the usual numbers for the Ozzu banner competition where first place recieved an Ozzu gold membership. I can't really say for sure it was the prize that did it either though.

The price was probably a motivation to compete well in the competitions.

I think it would be a neat idea if maybe people got points for getting first/second/third that they could spend on virtual items and/or redeem for templates? Although the templates wouldn't be that handy to most of the people winning the points...I don't know just talking out loud :)
