Post 3+ Months Ago

I've been putzing around trying to make a site, using a combination of the editor provided by my hosting, and throwing in a bit of HTML here and there as I go.

I've found a pretty simple and neat layout for my site that I'm comfortable with, and it looks something like this.

I couldn't figure out how to put the space between the link without just counting off 20 spaces between each link, and although it looks fine, when you drag your mouse over the space between each link, you can tell there's just spaces there. My question is this, how would I get the space in between links through HTML code, without using tables... I like my hrs.

Thanks.

You could do it by adding a little CSS to your page and setting those links to have either a margin or padding on the right side. This will push each link over a specified amount. Use either padding-right or margin-right.

Something like this should work. Put this in your html before closing the head tag.

Code: [ Select ]
<style type="text/css">

div#nav a { padding-right:10px; }

</style>
  1. <style type="text/css">
  2. div#nav a { padding-right:10px; }
  3. </style>

Put all of your links in a div with an id of nav.
