No...Width-wise. I have content that may be longer than the boundign box., with no brekaing point. So width-wise, the thing goes into the white background surrounding the box and is unviewable. Any property for this? I want the box to never be thinner than the stuff inside. And I dont' want to use the min-width unless that's the only option i have.

Of course you don't want to use min-width, because IE doesn't understand it. But then, you asked if there was a property for this, but that property is min-width. And that's already not an option.

But you can do the _same_exact_prop_trick_ as mentioned in the other page, using a div with width at the bottom. Then, just do not do one thing: Don't set the width of the bounding box, and it should expand to fit the content.

If you don't want the box to expand, but you want the content to be readable, then put the content in <span style="background-color: blegh;"> </span> or something.

You didn't post a URL, so I assume you mean <http://maxedge.net/index2.php>, which you've asked about in other topics. Could you modify your example to show the problem? Perhaps I am not understanding you.

I tried modifying the hack for my page i've been takling about, yes index2.php

The Css
The page

If you resize the window width-wise the right column wont' maintain the min width that should be maintained from that hack. IE doesnt' do it either. But for some odd reason, the left column a little ways down doesn't change in width at all.

I can't figure out that hack for width for the life of me.

I just used a workable hack.

/*IE hack*/
_width: 198px;
/**/

I would have liked to be able to slide the columns into a min-width when it was required but alas, no can do in IE it seems (unless you wanted to use javascript)
