Hello everyone -
If you could, please check out http://www.sensationalsmiles4u.net - I have developed this website and the padding works fine to essentially wrap the body text around/below the right sidebar...in Safari and Firefox ONLY.

In IE, the text remains on the very far left, so that you have to scroll down a million times to read the text.
Have you ever seen this/do you have suggestions? It is also happening on http://www.juliecoleman.org.

Here is the code for the sidebar and main content divs:

.twoColFixRtHdr #sidebar1 {
float: right; /* since this element is floated, a width must be given */
width: 250px; /* the actual width of this div, in standards-compliant browsers, or standards mode in Internet Explorer will include the padding and border in addition to the width */
background: none; /* the background color will be displayed for the length of the content in the column, but no further */
padding: 2px 50px 5px 20px;
font-size:9pt;
line-height:12pt;
margin: 30px 0px 0px 50px;
background:url(../_images/sidebar.gif) no-repeat;
}
.twoColFixRtHdr #mainContent {
margin: 0 0 0 0; /* the right margin on this div element creates the column down the right side of the page - no matter how much content the sidebar1 div contains, the column space will remain. You can remove this margin if you want the #mainContent div's text to fill the #sidebar1 space when the content in #sidebar1 ends. */
padding: 0 50px 0 50px; /* remember that padding is the space inside the div box and margin is the space outside the div box */
text-align:justify;
}

Well, I'm not sure what's causing the problem (still looking), but I thought I'd mention that though it effects Internet Explorer 6 & 7, it doesn't effect Internet Explorer 8 beta.

You could scan the css-d list,

This is the public view on padding which I found for you:

http://archivist.incutio.com/viewlist/c ... ch=padding

Good luck!
