I have created a template webpage with an editable region using go-live.

I want to put a pdf file in the editable region so it is viewable with the scrollbars etc like you are actually viewing a pdf file.

I am thinking this is possible by embedding the pdf in the html page.

How can I do this?

I seriously doubt this is possible. pdf files are opened and read by the plugin Acrobat Reader. In and of themselves the browsers don't have the ability to display pdf files. Maybe someone will prove me wrong, but I don't think you're going to see it happen.

putting a pdf file is possible. I used this method in one of my class projects I had to do but I had my computer teacher put the code in. I am pretty sure that if you come accross a site at a .edu, it will most likley have it since college students use this method all the time.

Well, I did some checking into this and it is possible although it has some drawbacks:

What I have done is create an iframe, and put the pdf link in there. It seems to work, I will need to test it with other browsers.

Hello,

I have too problem opening pdf file on my local PC. My pdf is not hosted anywhere on Net. I Wish to use it locally, Its an ASP book of Wrox., It gives me error while opening in Adobe Acrobat 5.0.

error message is: "There was an error opening this document, The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect".

File size: 42mb

FileName: Wrox - Professional ASP.NET 1.0(ASP.NET高级编程).pdf

I have tried to rename the file as I assumed may be because of junk character in filename makes it unavailable.

Is it the size? if so Can I break that pdf in Chunks and later them combine to work fine.

Please help me out!

thanx

Kashyap
