The Gallery on my website is now becoming a little overcrowded, and with the number of picutres their are, and having them all on the same page, to save a lot of time and effort I am looking for some free software or anything that will enable me to produce a photo album.

I previously came across JAlbum which I found to be pretty useless, unless anyone can say otherwise.

Are there are suggestions or directions in which you can point me in.

Thank you in advance. :)

Try using Gallery

I hear its really good.

There's an example on triberadio.

Thats a link to the triberadio's owner Chip marks.

very good stuff. but mainly you wanted to see the image gallery thing

The actual galleries site is here

http://gallery.menalto.com/modules.php? ... file=index

Try that. :)

Sorry, but i hated Gallery. Far to annoying to install, to many questions.

Coppermine looks good, but havn't gone as far as to even download the install fine yet. It looks lke a direct copy of phpBB (but not a forum obviously). Anyone else used this and can offer a simple review?

If you have the capacity to install that sort of thing, I'd suggest porting your site to PostNuke, or something like it. PN has gallery modules, as well as a million other things... many you don't need, of course, but you can always turn off out-of-the-box stuff you have no use for... It's totally free under GPL. http://www.postnuke.com/

Have you tried " SimplePHoto Gallery Script v1.0 " ? I used it, it was okay.

I've used Coppermine and Gallery. I liked Coppermine's skin options off the bat, but Gallery has Shutterfly connectivity. Unfortunately, now I have Gallery somehow set-up to reduce the resolution of my photos, so they aren't worth ordering through Shutterfly. :)

Gallery was a little difficult for me to install. Coppermine was installed by my web host with a single click. I also haven't figured out how to customize Gallery as in the link provided above.

What I found that works good, well good for me, I did my own, frames, left frame menu to swith in different headings or return to main site.
top bar listing the small snapshot, and when you click on it, the photo shows up enlarged in the large frame bottom right.
so you have left bar, top bar, main page.
You can also play with onmouseover as you cruise over the snapshots,
or many other things depending on what you want.

Yes I tired a number of the Photo Albums, but they always left things out or put things in that I did not like, but this since it is my code, and it is simple.... works good. and can blend in with whatever site you want. :P
