Hey guys, this is my first post here :) starting things off with a question if ya dont mind.

My site is a community site, but instead of doing eeeeeeeeeeeeeverything in Phpbbs layout, is it possible to insert phpbb directly to my web sites layout? If not are there any other forums which can be?

apperciate it

what you could probably do is to go to your phpbb forum and view source to see where the the css file is used, and how the table structure is layed out. From there you can modify it to however you wanted

Thought about moving this to programming, but left it here pro-tem, because it's really a design question. The CSS for phpBB can be found in the theme template directory you are using. Also, if the theme is based on subSilver or IS the default subSilver theme You may also find the style in the overall_header.tpl files in the theme directory (which may over-ride any custom theme you create). The template can be modified by adding your own custom graphics in the images directory (named identical to the originals) and modifying the style variables in the Admin panel style management for the theme template you are using.

I'm currently doing much the same here: http://imagesculptor.com/pool/ (that's still in the process and there's things I haven't completed. To change the look of the forum page, just edit the HTML in the index_body.tpl file, the overall_header.tpl file and the overall_footer.tpl file. You may need to also adjust other "body".tpl files to conform to you desired look.

Advice and instructions about creating your own board themes can be found at the phpBB website in the styles link.

I know that you will have to edit the overall_header.tpl, as atno stated, to bring the flash header into your forum

in those tpl files there is usually a bunch of css at the top, but all the way down there is some html that you can modify

In subsilver there is
Code: [ Select ]
<td><a href="{U_INDEX}"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif" border="0" alt="{L_INDEX}" vspace="1" /></a></td>

for the default logo, I am going to assume that you will want to use your object tags to embed the flash. Everything else like you said, below the albums can be done by tweaking some of the CSS code.

Good luck with it, I know you will learn a lot by doing it.

btw, I love victor
