I am about to make own portfolio where I show off my work, but I am finding it very hard to come up with an unique design for it.

If someone could help me a little bit or give me some useful sites/tips I will appreciate it a lot.

Examples would be excellent.

Thanks in advance.

Well there are millions of examples. I think the first question is if your planning to use just html or something like flash? Do you want one page or many?

If your looking for an html portfolio, I typically find that there is a lot of inspiration at http://www.onepagefolios.com. Also my students have been asking what makes a good portfolio and I have the beginnings of a list here.

My personal recommendations are to keep your portfolio as simple as possible. There seems to be a tendency for people to show off their skills with the package instead of the highlighting the other work in the portfolio. IMHO its very important to make sure that your work is in the forefront and not overshadowed by the package you design to hold that work. Second, only show 10 - 20 of your absolute best projects. Remember that many times you will be judged by your weakest project.
