Hi,

The bèta of Internet Explorer 8 has just been released and I already have problems with it :roll:
One of those problems is that the icons in my menu disappear in IE8.

Here are some screenshots:

Firefox: http://i32.tinypic.com/6nr2fo.jpg
Internet Explorer 7: http://i31.tinypic.com/2myyr8i.jpg

Internet Explorer 8: http://i25.tinypic.com/2a7d852.jpg
You can see that in IE8, the icons will disappear.
Does anyone now how this can happen?

My css for this image:
Code: [ Select ]
#sidebar ul li
{ color: #ffffff;
    font-size: 11px;
    list-style-image: url(images/sidebar.gif);
    margin: 0px 0px 2px 5px;
    padding: 2px 0px 0px 0px;
}

#sidebar ul li.rss
{
    list-style-image: url(images/rss.gif);
}
  1. #sidebar ul li
  2. { color: #ffffff;
  3.     font-size: 11px;
  4.     list-style-image: url(images/sidebar.gif);
  5.     margin: 0px 0px 2px 5px;
  6.     padding: 2px 0px 0px 0px;
  7. }
  8. #sidebar ul li.rss
  9. {
  10.     list-style-image: url(images/rss.gif);
  11. }

Any suggestions?

it's a microsoft product.
in it's beta stages.
if microsoft release versions don't work, why would you expect their betas to? >.<

I don't expect the beta to work, I'm just wondering how I can make my site work in it. I mean the bèta passes the acid2 test, so it's not that bad and I don't want my site to look bad in IE8.

Hi everyone.....
I think that IE8 is only the test version. Of course, it must have the errors. Please wait one moment. Good luck

I wouldn't worry about making it work in IE8 until it actually is released. Its hard enough to get a site to work cross browser, without adding the stress of a beta browser to it.
