Hey, I'm working on a web application where users send mail from their desktop email cient. I'm using mailto links that specify a subject and body to achieve this, but they are coming out very long, thousands of characters. It seems that, on windows with outlook express, mailto links longer than a few hundred characters don't work. Does anyone know of a workaround?

I don't think it's a surprise that mail clients won't accept long URLs... and thousands of characters is huge in terms of URLs. Specifying the message body in the link isn't a very good idea - you should find some other way of doing this.

What about sending the variables to a contact form with all the info ready to go?
