Hi,

Just out of interest i have a lil question for ya'll.

If i was to make a website that provide a service or goods for people and i would make a profit or any kind of income from it, Would i have to register if with anyone?

Coz i am from the UK and i thought that you would have to let inland revenue or someone like that know because of tax etc?

Any one know as i wouldnt like to start up a site that makes me money and end up breaking the law

Thanks in advance

Tony

Not 100% sure what you're asking, but I believe if you were generating revenue you'd be subject to the business lisencing and tax laws at your location.

This can be VERY different depedning on your location.

i have been having this very same thought.

I'm supposed to be going to see some people to get some free business advice at some point (in the ever-growing to-do list!). I think it is business link. Best bet is to suss out where you can get free professional business info in your area, I think there should be somewhere nearby that does it.

What I do know is that your products will not be subject to VAT unless you make over 68 ish thousand pound a year. Which is nice :)

If I get my meeting sorted out I'll let you know how it turns out.
